From 6 to 10 May, nine travel agents and representatives from AERTiCKET, Pure Michigan and Visit Detroit explored the cities of Detroit and Ann Arbor. The FAM trip was organised in cooperation with Icelandair, Pure Michigan, Visit Detroit and AERTiCKET. The trip began in Frankfurt and we travelled with Icelandair via Reykjavík to Detroit. The transfer in Iceland went smoothly and pleasantly. If you plan a little more time for the journey to Michigan, you can make a stopover in Iceland with Icelandair.

During their three-day stay in Detroit and an additional day in Ann Arbor, the group was impressed by the diversity and dynamism of both cities. Highlights included a visit to the legendary Motown Museum, the former recording studio of music greats such as Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross and The Temptations. Another thematic focus was on Detroit’s industrial heritage, in particular on the footsteps of Henry Ford, who left his mark on the city through automobile production. The culmination of the trip was a visit to Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, the largest football stadium in the USA, which is used exclusively for college games. The participants were thrilled – the trip was a complete success.
