
In spring 2003 Silke graduated from the University of Applied Sciences FHDW Bergisch Gladbach with a degree in Business Studies putting the main emphasis on tourism. During several internships e.g. at Center Parcs, BTI Euro Lloyd and Lufthansa Consulting she gained experience in marketing and sales. Silke expanded her language abilities while working as a tour guide in Scandinavia and doing another internship at a consulting company in California, USA. Before Silke became a member of the TMR team, she worked as Product Manager for a leading travel wholesaler in Europe. Since January 2007 she works as Destination & PR Manager for the British Virgin Islands and organises tour operator cooperations for our client Kenya.

I wanted to dance around the world on ballet shoes and later have my own ballet school.
The variety! There are always new projects, new journeys or events, new consumers and new situations to adjust to. This is both, a challenge and a great experience!
It depends on the kind of trip. On business trips I need a mobile phone, a calendar and gummi bears for the colleagues. On vacation I bring my favourite flip flops or - in winter - fluffy socks. In both cases I won't leave without a good book and a camera.
I went to Lake Garda (Italy) with a friend. Italian men, delicious food, our own apartment - it was a lot of fun. Until the cash card was gone. That was the quick end of the first vacation without our parents.
